For Educators

Our nutrition education programs for elementary, middle, and high schools are research-based and align with the California state standards in Language Arts, Math, Science and Health Education. Complete classroom sets are free to California teachers and teachers may resupply student materials every year.

The interactive learning tools provide kids and teens a fun and engaging way to learn how to eat right and get enough physical activity. Check out the newly revised TeenBEAT — Basic Exercise and Activity Tracker.

For Health Care Professionals

Client education programs are available free-of-charge to California health professionals and at reasonable rates for health professionals outside California. These nutrition education materials have been field tested for success and are available in both English and Spanish.

Additional resources include free downloadable education handouts on topics such as vitamin D, bone health and probiotics as well as interactive learning tools for children and adults.

Milk & Dairy

This section includes a wide range of information about milk and dairy foods, including nutrients in milk, dairy facts, milk myths and dietary requirements. The Calcium quiz can help you determine if you are getting adequate calcium in your diet and the milk handling page will answer questions such as "can I freeze milk?"
